QUESTION
I got rimmed and shared some deep kisses with an HIV-positive person not knowing the person was HIV positive. Right now I am going through hell as lymph nodes behind my left ear are slightly swollen. They started swelling 1 week after we hooked up. Please let me know how risky this was. The guy has assured me that he did not have any open cuts, wounds or sores in his mouth.
ANSWER
Rimming and deep kissing are not ways that HIV can be transmitted. You can relax. If you are still unclear about the modes of HIV transmission, please read these previous Ask Dr. K columns
