Is HIV present in sweat? If someone is HIV+, and their sweat gets in your eye, can you get HIV?
No, HIV is not present in sweat. So if you were to get the sweat of an HIV-positive person in your eye, nose, mouth, or even in a cut during an athletic event, for example, it would not put you at risk of acquiring of HIV. HIV is only present in certain body fluids: blood, semen, vaginal fluids and breast milk.
