SUCKING YOURSELF

QUESTION
Is there any risk in sucking my own penis? I do not cum in my mouth. I like doing this, I just want to know if there's anything I can do to prevent disease?

ANSWER
If you suck yourself, you are not at risk for acquiring any new STDs or HIV. However, if you have gonorrhea or chlamydia those infections could spread to your throat. If you are currently STD-free, risk happens when you come into contact with another person who has an STD. If you are having sex with other people in addition to yourself, make sure you stay up to date with regular STD check-ups. In San Francisco, we recommend STD checkups every three months if you're sexually active with more than one partner.

To your health,
Dr. K
